AT LAST!!!

Today I can see that the spring will come. The snow has receded enough to see a few spots of grass and the driveway is almost bare. Does it seem like a long winter to anyone else? I know that it is about the same each year but I have been especially anxious for the snow to go this year. I have found two other events that signal the approach of spring. The pictures show them. I love cats sitting out in the sun. These two are so wild that I rarely get a chance to see them long enough to take a picture, but they were enjoying the sun. This little squirrel was seeing if he could grab a bite from the birds, but he almost fell off so retreated to this pine tree. I find that I am looking forward to a new type of gardening since I won't have my big garden to play in this year. I will probably be doing pots on the patio or something. It will be a new experience and I'm busy looking for ideas.

that cat on the post looks hillarious as does the squirrel. I remember how Hol and I would run around the house hopping from grass patch to grass patch in the early spring...barefoot. We were so excited to see the first signs. I am very ready for this cold winter to say goodbye.
