Along with the shoes

Along with gardening shoes, have you ever noticed that gardening gloves take on a character all there own. You buy them, all crisp and clean in the spring and they seem rather stiff and hard to work in at first. I find myself spending more time picking gloves than the task would seem to warrant because I want just the right combination of comfort and strength. As the season progresses they seem to mold to the users hands and even take on the shape of knuckle creases and curved fingers. By the time you are putting away the tools for winter they have become comfortable old friends. I'm always alittle sad when a good pair of gloves wears out. You've worked hard together and conquered many obstacles and now they are all used up and worn out, but there's always the expectation and hope of another good pair in the spring.
